Coco Brooks Fundraiser (DUE DECEMBER 5):

Roland Michener School Fundraiser (Coco Brooks products) - all orders are due to be submitted by the end of the day on DECEMBER 5th!

The fundraiser features:  pizzas, frozen cookie dough, banana bread and warehouse packs.  With the greater selection and variety of products, we know you will help us raise funds for Roland Michener School!  We need your support so our students may benefit from new books for our library and classrooms, artist in residence (art, drama, dancing, culture, etc), gym equipment, technology and so much more!  All funds support creative and exciting learning opportunities.

Attendance

In the Calgary Board of Education and at Roland Michener School, we have many different processes in place to assist students in achieving regular school attendance. One of these processes is to reach out to families when a child’s absentee rate is above 20% through phone calls and letters.

The purpose of these communications is not punitive, but rather to ensure that we are open in our communication and informing families of our attendance concerns. This will help open a dialogue for different supports we can offer to help your child attend school more frequently. If you are ever finding it difficult to get your children to attend school, please reach out to the school so we can work with you. One process we have in place are Attendance Improvement Plans. These plans can help schools and families work together in a positive way to improve attendance for individual students. Please feel free to reach out to the school if you would like to set one up for your child!  

Healthy Hunger Lunches

Our Parent Council has set up the following dates for Healthy Hunger lunches to be served!  If you want your child to participate in these dates—please sign them up at the following website:  https://healthyhunger.ca

Please note that if you don’t register and pay in advance—your child(ren) won’t be receiving a lunch. 

This is NOT mandatory!   All restaurants follow the guidelines and are safe lunch certified.
