Kindergarten
Kindergarten classes begin on Tues., Sept. 2, 2025. Sept. 2nd to 4th, students will have a staggered entry.
Emails will be sent individually on the days/times they are to come to school.
All children will attend school on Monday, September 8th and begin their regular schedule.
Attendance
Regular school attendance is crucial for students to get the most out of their experience at Roland Michener School. The team at RMS is committed to supporting all students and families to achieve regular attendance in the 2025-26 school year!
Did you know, that by grade three, students with regular attendance are more likely to read at grade level? And by grade six, regular attendance is a strong predictor of high school completion?
In the Calgary Board of Education, regular attendance is defined as missing less than 10% of school days. You can think of this as missing less than 18 days throughout the year or, on average, missing less than one day every two weeks. Let’s work together to support positive attendance at Roland Michener School this year!
