Roland Michener School (RMS) Parent Society presents:

Healthy Hunger Lunches

Our Parent Council has set up the following dates for Healthy Hunger lunches to be served!  If you want your child to participate in these dates—please sign them up at the following website:  https://healthyhunger.ca

Please note that if you don’t register and pay in advance—your child(ren) won’t be receiving a lunch.  This is NOT mandatory!   All restaurants follow the guidelines and are safe lunch certified. 

All orders MUST be placed BEFORE midnight FIVE days before the orders come.  You must use the healthy hunger website to order.  Orders will not be taken at school.

ALSO – THIS IS A FUNDRAISER FOR OUR SCHOOL. 
WE ASK THAT YOU ORDER FUN LUNCHES DIRECTLY FROM HEALTHY HUNGER AND DISCOURAGE YOU FROM BRINGING LUNCHES ON THAT DAY TO SCHOOL AS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP TRACK OF LUNCHES BEING DROPPED OFF.

Exciting change this year…we will be selling Coco Brooks products AND Purdy’s chocolates for this Spring!

All orders must be picked up during this time. We do not have storage space for frozen items.

1. COCO BROOKS

Choose from a wide variety of frozen favorites, including: pizzas, cookie dough, banana bread, readymade meals, appetizers, and warehouse packs. So many to choose from!

Stock up on your favourite Purdy’s Spring treats (did someone say Hedgehogs?) and support RMS at the same time!

Fundraising begins on FEBRUARY 1st and ends on FEBRUARY 26th

All profits go directly to enhancing the student's learning - such as field trips (and transportation to/from events), educational materials, books, guest speakers, etc., so every order benefits the kids.

CHARITY

Roland Michener School has been a community that consistently supports for many years. We like to streamline our efforts and make donating to charity meaningful to students and families. We have chosen three areas of focus:

1. Our local community (Mayor's Food Drive, Veterans Food Bank)
2. National Interests (Terry Fox Run)
3. Global awareness (Save the Rhino)

To coincide with our vision of becoming a 'Rhino' which embodies the characteristics we strive for with our students (Empathy, Excellence and Effort) we support the Save the Rhino campaign.  

A percentage of fundraising efforts by the school and our School Council and Society are donated to preservation actions that indeed assist those in saving the endangered Rhino. 

Partnerships in Education

The foundation our community involvement is our Partnerships in Education program, which matches each of our branches with a school in their area. A number of programs aimed at enhancing children's learning are utilized throughout the school year. As each branch and school develop a deeper relationship, they find innovative opportunities to work on unique programs and activities to meet their particular needs.
