Orange Shirt Day Assembly and Learning

On September 26, RMS recognized Orange Shirt Day. This important day serves as a reminder of our shared commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. Leading up to this day, students engaged in meaningful learning connected to the students engaged in meaningful learning connected understanding the history behind and significance of Orange Shirt Day.

A special thank you to Ms. Andres and Ms. Ashbaugh’s Grade 3/4 classes for hosting the Orange Shirt Day assembly for our school community.

School Closure – Labour Action

All classes and transportation will be cancelled during Labour Action. Do not send your child to school. Do not leave your child at a bus stop.

Due to Labour Action, all scheduled off-site activities have been cancelled until October 31.

Ms. Haniak will be in the main office at RMS Monday to Friday in case of an emergent concern.

During Labour Action, teachers and administrator emails will be deactivated. Please watch your email for information from the CBE. For up-to-date information on Labour Action, please see:

CBE Online Forms – PAST DUE

Parents/Guardians will have received an email from CBE with a reminder to complete important online forms for their child. Please ensure these forms are completed, as they are important for the school to communicate with parents/guardians and to provide educational opportunities for students. 

Please also check the settings in your MyCBE account regarding what types of communication you receive from the school. Parents/Guardians must opt-in to receive any communication regarding any commercial matters, including ordering photos, field trips, fundraising activities,etc. - more information can be found here: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/news-centre/school-messages/Pages/default.aspx.
