Mayor’s Food Drive

As the holiday season approaches, we are encouraging RMS students to show kindness within the school community and the communities they live in. As part of this, Roland Michener is participating in the Mayor’s Food Drive this year. We are collecting non-perishable food donations (pasta and sauce, baby formula, peanut butter and cereal, etc). We will start to collect donations on December 2nd. If your family is able to donate, your child can bring their donations to their classroom for pick-up. All items collected will go to Calgarian families in need. We are collecting donations until December 13th. Please donate what you can.

SoundKreations Dance Residency

RMS students and staff had a fantastic week exploring various styles of dance, movement, and creative expression under the guidance of a professional dance instructor during the SoundKreations Dance Residency. Each class participated in daily dance sessions that were tailored to their age and skill level.

Winter Weather Preparedness

It is officially winter! Students need to come to school dressed warmly and prepared to spend time outdoors.

Outdoor play and learning on the land are essential parts of each day, even when temperatures drop. Please ensure your child has a warm coat, boots, hats, mittens, and snow pants so they can stay comfortable during recess and outdoor learning activities. Please note that if the temperature dips to -20° C or colder, students will remain indoors for recess. In such conditions, upon arrival in the morning RMS staff will invite students indoors for supervision.
