As we enter the final week of the 2024–2025 school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth and learning we have seen throughout the year at RMS. Thank you parents/guardians for your partnership and support throughout the year.
TeePee Teachings with Adrian Goulet
RMS students and staff engaged in meaningful learning watching Adrian Goulet construct a traditional teepee at RMS. Adrian shared learning about the cultural significance, structure, and teachings connected to the teepee, deepening students’ understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing.
Thank you to our School Council for organizing this wonderful opportunity for our school community.
Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. It is a day to celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis across Canada. As part of the CBE’s commitment to ReconciliAction, each year schools are required to post an updated and renewed Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Commitment. This document outlines the actions we will take to advance the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action. Diversity Cup Soccer Tournament
We had a great weekend cheering on our Grade 6 soccer players at the Diversity Cup Soccer Tournament! RMS students showed incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit on and off the field. We’re so proud of their effort and determination—way to go, team!
Lost and Found
All remaining items in the lost and find will be donated at the end of the week. Be sure to check the lost and found tables outside the main office before Thursday.
Early Dismissal on the Last Day
A reminder that the last day of school is Thursday, June 26, with early dismissal at 12:00 pm.
Report Cards
Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students starting Wednesday, June 25 until July 25, 2025 through MyCBE. Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades and attendance information.
Report cards summarize and communicate student achievement at a point in time. In addition to the report card, schools communicate with parents/guardians about student progress on an ongoing basis in a variety of ways.
First Day Back to School
We will welcome back students on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Families will receive a welcome back email in late August with important information to start the year.
