As part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, the Roland Michener School community will be participating in the Walk for Wenjack on October 22. This important event is a journey of reflection and learning, inspired by the story of Chanie Wenjack, a young boy who tragically lost his life escaping a residential school. By walking together, we honour Indigenous history, acknowledge the lasting impact of residential schools, and commit to building a future rooted in awareness and respect. Through this walk, we aim to foster deeper understanding and support ongoing learning within our school community.
